Questions
- How is Explorer different from Visibility?
- Visibility asks the prompts you track and shows who each answer names. Explorer finds the prompts worth tracking, shows the ones competitors win, and checks the site that has to win them.
- Do I need a report first?
- Only for What competitors win, which reads your reports. Research, Site health and the Google pages work on a brand that has never run one.
- Can I look at a competitor's site?
- Research takes any page's address, theirs included, and writes the prompts it answers; Site health checks their homepage beside yours, from its Competitors tab. PassciteBot reads both within their robots.txt.
- How does a prompt from Research get tracked?
- Track it, or all of them at once, and it joins the brand's prompts: every report after that asks it on ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode, a credit a prompt, up to 200 prompts a brand.
- Do I need Search Console or Google Analytics?
- Only for the pages that read them: Your Google demand and Indexing need Search Console, Website analytics and AI traffic need Google Analytics. Research, What competitors win and Site health need neither.
- What does Site health check?
- Google PageSpeed's four scores on mobile, with LCP, TBT and CLS; whether robots.txt lets AI crawlers in; llms.txt; whether the page is in the sitemap; its structured data, title and description; and how many words a crawler gets without running JavaScript. A page it cannot read gives the credit back.
- What does it cost?
- Research is 1 credit, and it comes back when it finds no prompts; a Site health check is 1. Your Google demand, Indexing, What competitors win and the Google Analytics pages cost nothing to open. A prompt you track from Research or a search you track from Your Google demand is then asked on every report: a credit a prompt on the standard engines.
- Do you keep my Google data?
- Google Analytics, no: it is read when you open the page and shown, not stored. Search Console mostly too: Indexing keeps whether Google has each page until you disconnect, an article keeps whether Google had its page on the day its Proof ran, a client report's edition keeps the figures it was sent with, and a search you track becomes a prompt. Each is its own connection, with read-only access.
