Getting a GoHighLevel site cited by AI
The five things a report asks for, and where each lives
Checked 2026-09-14. Platforms change what they expose; if one of these is out of date, it is out of date visibly rather than quietly.
- Page titles & meta descriptionsYes
Each funnel or website page's settings.
- JSON-LD schemaYes
The custom code / tracking-code field on the page or site.
- robots.txtPartly
Not consistently exposed across plans and domain setups. Check what your live /robots.txt actually returns rather than assuming.
- A plain-text file like /llms.txtNo
No arbitrary root files.
- New pages (FAQ, comparison, use case)Yes
The normal page editor.
A funnel and a website answer different questions
Funnel pages are built to convert traffic that already arrived with intent. Buyer questions arrive earlier than that — someone asking an engine which provider to use has not chosen anyone yet. A site made only of funnel steps has nothing for that moment to quote. The report almost always asks for pages that are not funnel pages: a real service page, an FAQ, a comparison.
Why there is no writer for this platform
No GoHighLevel writer is planned. If you run client sites here, the white-label report is the part that matters — on the Agency plan it goes out under your name and logo, not ours.
Either way the report splits its actions into two columns: what we publish for you and what only you can do — claiming a directory profile, fixing a Google Business listing, answering the questions a page has been avoiding. The second column has checkboxes, because a re-test run before you have done those is a re-test measuring nothing.
Where to start on GoHighLevel
None of this needs an account with us. The AI crawler checker and the Website metadata checker answer the technical questions in about a minute.
- 01
Check what /robots.txt returns on the live domain
This varies by setup. Check it rather than trusting the panel.
- 02
Add the informational pages the report names
Not as funnel steps — as pages that can be read by someone who has not decided yet.
- 03
Run one report per client site
That is the unit we bill on, and it is the unit the answers differ on.
Questions
See what the engines say about your GoHighLevel site
12 buyer questions across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. The diagnosis is the same whatever the site is built with — only the fixing differs, and we say which half is which.
