Passcite vs overrank

On every client site, overrank publishes day after day and asks almost nothing of you. Passcite asks ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini who they recommend instead of your client, and drafts only the pages that would answer those questions, each one held for your approval.
The verdict

Which one you want

  • Pick overrank

You resell content volume: a steady stream of articles on each client's site, under the client's brand, on WordPress, Shopify, Wix or almost any builder. Turn Auto-publish off if someone should read each one first.

  • Pick Passcite

You need to show a client which buyer questions they lose on ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, and to whom — and every page that goes on their site has to be one somebody chose and read.

  • Run both

On different clients, yes. On the same site you would have two tools writing into one blog without seeing each other's drafts, so pick one per site.

Where each one is stronger

ComparedoverrankPasscite
Published work

Stronger: Up to an article a day on every client site, set per client — keyword-researched, written, illustrated, linked to the site's own pages and submitted for indexing.

Up to 6 drafts from each report, for the pages it finds missing on the questions the site loses, and 2 reports a client site a month.

Publishes into

Stronger: WordPress, Shopify and Wix directly; Webflow, Squarespace, Framer and most other builders through an embed; a blog it hosts on a subdomain; and an API for a custom site.

New pages into WordPress, and into a Webflow CMS collection. Everything else goes to the site owner on a link with no login, with where it goes and the words to paste.

Whose name the client sees

Stronger: Nothing from overrank: posts go out under the client's brand, and the monthly report — and the private no-login link to it — carries your name and colours.

Your name, mark, colour and tagline across the header of the report and of a private no-login link per client, on the Agency plan. Below the header the report keeps our colours.

Links

Stronger: A link exchange between overrank customers' sites, and backlinks sold as an add-on.

None. We do not build links.

Price for one site

Stronger: $39 a month, or $25 billed annually.

$49 a month — the Solo plan covers 2, under the Passcite logo.

Approval before a post goes live

Even: A per-client Auto-publish switch. Left on — “the default is that it simply runs” — it publishes by itself; turned off, each draft waits for “Publish now” or “Skip”.

Even: Every draft waits in the approval queue on every paid plan, read in full and approved or turned down one at a time or in ticked batches. Publishing new pages without review is a switch you turn on yourself.

Price across a roster

Even: From $145 a month — 5 seats at $29, the only plan sold without talking to them — then $24.50 a seat from ten and $19.50 from twenty-five. Less than our white-label plans at 1–6, 11–12, 17–20 and 25 clients.

Even: $199 a month for 10 client sites, $299 for 16, $499 for 28. Less than their seats at 7–10, 13–16, 21–24 and 26–28 clients.

Asks the assistants

Its visibility tracker asks buyer questions but builds each answer from live Google results, “the way AI search does”; the dashboard counts mentions on Google Search, AI Overviews and Gemini.

Stronger: Asks ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini each buyer question — 30 a client site on a paid plan — and names who was recommended instead on each, with the page of theirs that was cited.

What only the client can do

Not part of it: it says it does not run Google Business Profile, and we found no list of work for the client to do off the site.

Stronger: Listed beside the drafts with the steps — directory profiles, Google Business Profile, reviews, and the site's own files and markup with the block to paste — ticked off as they are done.

Taking a page back

A live article can be deleted from the site; their WordPress plugin removes the post.

Stronger: One click puts a published page back to a draft on WordPress or Webflow, and approving it again puts the same page back up.

Prices are monthly list prices. Their seat includes publishing on its own schedule; ours buys the report, the drafts and publishing into WordPress or Webflow once you approve.

FAQ

Passcite and overrank

Will an article a day get a client recommended by ChatGPT?
Neither tool can promise that. The bet overrank makes is volume: answers draw on search results, so articles that rank get read. Ours is to write only the pages that answer the questions a client is losing, then ask those questions again.
Do both work in other languages?
Yes — overrank writes and publishes in more than thirty languages, chosen at setup, and we ask the questions and write the drafts in the language a client's buyers use, set per client site.
