The criteria come first
- Best AI visibility tools that publish the fixSix criteria, five tools, four of which write changes into a site — and the one place each stops. We are last on this list and the page says why.5 tools · 6 criteria · Passcite ranks 5 of 5 · checked 2026-09-15
- Best white-label AI search tools for agenciesWhat one more client costs, whose name is on the report, and whether anyone approves a change before it reaches a client's site. Our report carries your name; our portal and publishing do not yet.3 tools · 5 criteria · Passcite ranks 3 of 3 · checked 2026-09-20
- Best free AI visibility checkersSix criteria across the four free checks worth running, including what each one asks for before it runs and what it is really selling. The one ranking here we come first on.4 tools · 6 criteria · Passcite ranks 1 of 4 · checked 2026-09-15

- Best Semrush and Ahrefs alternatives for AI searchOften the answer is no. What the incumbents already include, what they charge per client domain, and the three cases where paying someone else is justified.5 tools · 5 criteria · Passcite ranks 5 of 5 · checked 2026-09-15
- Best AI search tools for ecommerce brandsFive criteria for stores: which platforms it writes to, whether it fixes product pages or the comparison pages that get cited, and who can show revenue.4 tools · 5 criteria · Passcite ranks 4 of 4 · checked 2026-09-15
We come first on 1 of 6
The tools in this category that publish rankings put themselves at the top of them, scored against criteria chosen to produce that result. It is a reasonable thing to do and it is why nobody believes any of it, including the pages that happen to be right.
So the rubric on each page is fixed before the tools are scored, and the scoring is checked against it in code — a tool cannot be marked on a criterion that is not published, and cannot skip one. Our own entry has to name what it loses or the page does not build.
Last on 4 of 6, and each row says why: three times because we do not publish yet, once because the incumbents’ data is bigger. Every one of those rows says what to buy instead. The one we do lead is Free checkers — where the criteria are about the depth of a free check rather than about publishing.
What we are asking for is not a purchase. It is that you run the free report on one client site, which costs nothing, and then pick whichever tool on these lists fits what it tells you.

Publishing: Foliora, Rank Prompt, Geoa and overrank all write to a site today. We do not write anything.

The rest of white-label: overrank and Rank Prompt put your colours and name on the whole deliverable. Ours is a name and a mark on the report, plus a private link a client opens with no account — the part that matters most, and still not all of it. Brand colour is a decision not to build, not a gap: the report uses colour to mark which lane we can publish, so an agency colour painted over it would erase that.
